A street from the ancient city of Pompeii

Ancient Pompeii was an important commercial city in a strategic position in the middle of the Gulf of Naples, on a hill overlooking the sea.

It was inhabited by wealthy and sophisticated families, influenced by the Greek culture of the neighbouring city of Neapolis and its aesthetic codes, and the layers of volcanic ash that filled the city during the eruption of the Vesuvius in 79 brought back countless mansions that are still well preserved today.

Cupids from the House of the Vettii, Pompeii

Your qualified tourist guides bring the city of Pompeii back to life as if it were still inhabited.

You will be fascinated by the beautiful frescoes and remarkably well-preserved mosaics, which evoke episodes from Greek and sometimes Egyptian mythology.

Discover the magnificent villas that have been reopened to the public after years of closure and renovation, and admire the beautiful houses that have just been excavated after nearly 2,000 years.

Places visited during the tour include:

Public areas such as the basilica, the Forum Square, the temples and the public baths.

Explore the beautiful dwellings where you can learn about the social status of the inhabitants, and the devastating eruption that covered the rich city with volcanic material and learn how the wealthy people of antiquity lived before their lives came to an end.

It will surely be an unforgettable experience for children too.
